Grip Texture Lab began as a regrip service parked outside a Peoria foundry break room, not a full fitting studio. That origin still shapes how every session runs today.
Built Around Hands That Do More Than Hold a Club
Grip Texture Lab opened in 2010 after our founder, then a part-time regripper working out of a folding table near a Peoria casting plant, noticed that the same grip size and texture chart worked for almost none of the guys coming off a shift. Callused palms, swollen knuckles by August, and hands that ran dry by November all needed something a stock "men's standard" grip never accounted for.
That folding table became a bench, and the bench became a full fitting studio — but the starting question never changed. Before we talk shaft flex or loft, we ask what a golfer's hand is actually doing at impact, and what the season is doing to it.
