Fitting by Club

Every club-specific session starts the same way here — at the grip — and then carries that same read through shaft, head and lie. All six on one page.

Driver

Grip Texture Under Full Swing Speed

No club magnifies a mismatched grip more than the driver — the longest lever, the fastest swing, and the least margin for a hand fighting the texture in it. We put you through sample swings on cord, rubber and hybrid builds at game speed before touching a demo head, then map delivery: attack angle, spin axis and smash factor, all built around a grip that's already confirmed secure at full speed.

Fairway Woods

Sole Design Meets Grip Confidence

Fairway woods ask more of your hands than a driver in one specific way — you need enough grip security to compress the ball off turf, not just off a tee. We test sole shapes on real turf samples while checking that grip texture holds up on a downward strike, and watch how grip pressure shifts between a tee shot and a shot off the deck, which changes more than most golfers expect.

Hybrids

Recovery Shots Change How You Hold the Club

Golfers tend to grip tighter on a hybrid from the rough or a tight lie than on a standard fairway shot, whether they notice it or not. We include rough-lie sample swings specifically to see how grip texture holds up under that added tension, then match head design — more iron-like versus more wood-like — to how you actually deliver the club.

Irons

Why We Check Grip at Both Ends of the Bag

A grip correctly sized on your 7-iron isn't automatically correct on your pitching wedge or 3-iron if wear, wrap count or aftermarket tape have drifted between clubs. We measure grip diameter across the full set before touching lie angle, then check dynamic lie with impact tape on a lie board and test shaft flex across the set to confirm gapping holds up under your actual tempo.

Wedges

Texture, Taper, and Control

Wedges demand more feel and control than any other club in the bag, and feel starts at the grip. Many golfers struggling with distance control on partial shots are fighting a grip that's too slick or too thick for the finesse the shot requires. We test taper profile and texture on actual chip, pitch and bunker samples, then select bounce and sole grind against your typical turf and attack angle.

Putters

Why Putter Grips Aren't Just Bigger Full-Swing Grips

Oversized, flat-fronted putter grips reduce wrist hinge and quiet the stroke for golfers fighting a handsy release; traditional rounded grips allow more feel but can amplify small technical faults. We test both shapes against your actual stroke on our putting capture setup before setting length and lie from posture, and match face balance to your measured stroke arc.
